Shaolin Afronauts at Glastonbury

New tracks up on our 22Tracks page.

We start with brand new heat from Cookin' on 3 Burners. 'Chew You Up' is taken from their brand new album 'Blind Bet' out now on Freestyle Records.

We have both sides of Beau Williams' super-soulful 'I'll Be Home Soon' / 'Outside Love' 7", strictly limited to just 500 copies on vinyl, released by Truth & Soul records.

Fresh back from our gigs at Glastonbury Festival, and having had the chance to watch crazy Adelaide-based instrumental afrobeat band The Shoalin Afronauts live, we had to feature the title track, 'Ojo Abameta' from their new EP, released last month on Freestyle Records.

Finally, a sneaky advance preview of album track 'You're Good To Me' taken from the mighty Weekend Sun's forthcoming album 'Forever Tomorrow' to be released by Hero Records on August 4 2014.

New Tracks Added to the 22Tracks London Funk Playlist: 14.04.2013

This week, we offer 5 new tracks including 3 taken from the brand new Movements Volume 5 album released by Tramp Records earlier this month.

The other 2 tracks come from Lady, the new collaborative project by Terri Walker and Nicole Wray out on Truth & Soul Records. This transatlantic pairing was born out of a shared love of soul music and their self-titled album is a modern-day interpretation of the classic sounds of Stax, Atlantic and Motown. Leon Michels and Jeff Silverman, who have worked with Adele, Lee Fields and Aloe Blacc, are behind the production. Video for Good Lovin after the jump.
